FAQ

NoBaggage2Rome?

There is an old saying: "All roads lead to Rome." But our message is simple: Don’t let your baggage weigh you down. A suitcase is often just an obstacle; a backpack frees your hands. For a short 3-day trip, you might tolerate dragging a heavy suitcase it's just a few days of hassle, after all. But on a 3-month journey, you learn to carry only what truly matters, because every excess item becomes a heavy burden. Baggage is a hassle; don't carry troubles on your journey.

Why we build this website?

We want to build a genuinely useful travel resource. The internet is full of sites cluttered with ads and fluff. We are here to share practical, no-nonsense information. We’ve done the trial and error for you, curating our most valuable experiences into this clean, beautiful space designed for real travelers.

Who are we?

Jayden and Pei Pei.

What are we doing?

We are traveling to understand how people truly live. We have neither the money nor the interest for 5-star luxury. To us, luxury hotels feel the same everywhere; they don't offer the change in perspective we seek. However, this doesn’t mean we treat "poorer and dirtier" as a standard for authenticity. We don't actively seek out slums or suffering. Our goal is simple: whatever life the local ordinary people are living, that is the life we want to experience.

Why are we doing this?

We want to inspire others to rethink the balance between work, money, and freedom. We want to prove that long-term travel is possible now; you don’t have to wait for retirement to start living.

The Dream of NoBaggage2Rome

To drive a campervan from Malaysia all the way to the UK before we turn 50. If we finish that adventure and make it out alive, we might just set sail for Antarctica.
