We didn’t pay for a boat trip to see Milford Sound’s waterfalls - we stumbled upon this place instead. While the walk in is short, the drive takes about an hour on gravel roads that could easily cause a tire blowout. After researching, we learned this waterfall is quite impressive - one of the tallest waterfalls that ordinary people can walk to. Others of similar height usually require a three to four day trek to reach.
